Loop 16mm film Installation
Silent 16mm film -16mm projector – 2006
A group of people pedal tirelessly on exercise bikes in the safety of an enclosed space, as the image of the film deteriorates.
Hand processed, this 16 mm film shows esthetic imperfections. The accidents bring substance to the image which becomes solarized. It is also a technique prohibited in the United States for the dangers it represents.
As part of an installation, the 16mm film is projected in loop, until it breaks.
