A multi-media series where eras dialogue, from childhood to today, the Homemade Memories cycle was born from an audio montage made at 13 years old which mixed the Sebastien of then with that of 8 years old, in a duo based based on Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol.
This series hijacks real archives or replays the main principles of recording family memory (children's games, holiday photos, births, etc.).

"Here, I wanted to revisit a film I had made when I was 10 in my childhood home.
To do this, I installed a Hi8 camcorder (the format I was using at the time) in the exact places where it was placed for each shot of the video, then I filmed this camcorder in situ. [...]"

"As a child, I had fun experimenting with my parents' camcorder every day. In the first part of this video, I was 8 years old. At the time, I wanted to make a gradual transition between two videos , a 'homemade' morph.
In 2004, I mixed this video with a new version shot then young adult. And I did it under the same conditions, in the same place (at my parents') with the same filming support, a Hi8 camcorder."

“When I was 8 years old, I recorded on my radio cassette a reading of the tea scene in Alice in Wonderland.

At 13, I put together my child's voice reading this scene with my teenage voice, all to music I had made for the occasion."
